Good point. I wondered the same thing. After all, most sea cargo ships I have seen are pretty big. You would think that they would have a small, well-armed "security force". I dont think speed boats coming up to the side would be much of a problem to take care of, and helicopters can be shot down.

What a wonderful fantasy life I have. Two 50 caliber front and rear, twin 30's on either side. Include some of those wonderful grenade launchers I saw confiscated from those Afgan homes. This would turn back Atilla himself. It would take then at least 30 seconds to climb to the top of the ship railing I would think. That would be enough time to turn them into fishbait. Seems a small investment for a cargo worth a million or two. Of course if you are hauling a couple million barrels of crude oil you might think of weapons with a little range. I dont think I would want a Helo in flames falling on the deck.
