My thoughts exactly. The people supporting this are the same ones who blasted Bush for the TIPS program, where citizens would report "suspicious behavior" to the government to help fight terrorism.

Imagine the outcry if a Republican were to submit a bill allowing a phone company to secretly tape your phone conversations.
