No, I don't vacation in Provincetown. I suspect Rubin in the end is probably not emeshed in Citicorp's serious legal liability problems (he is more of a face man director I suspect), buy hey, if Cheney can be trashed on Halliburton (with no evidence to date), and Bush on Harken (with exculpatory evidence), then I really don't see why Rubin shouldn't join the mudfest. The more the merrier.

You know, I had the same ideas about Bob Rubin as you. There are one of three possibilities:
- He is simply a name to put on their board of directors.
- He was brought in to mess with the accounting in just this kind of way.
- He was brought in to use his contacts to cover up for this kind of stuff.
He's already made an unethical phone call to the gov't on behalf of Citicorp, he may be more involved than he lets on.
