I have a sneaking suspicion that the U.S. has told Greece to clean up the November 17th group ASAP, or else we will not participate in the 2004 Olympics. I would also hazaard to guess, that through our intelligence agencies, especially the NSA, we have probably known who these characters are for a long time.

The Greeks have probably also known, but before now refused to act, as they have generally had an uncharitable attitude towards us since the times of Papandreou. And we certainly hurt their feelings when Clinton sided with the hated Albanians during the "rescue me from Monica" NATO engagement.

I have seen some articles indeed saying that there was big international pressure to take them out. I bet these people could have been arrested earlier, it is suspicious they are all arrested in such short time and so all of the sudden.

Seems to have flowed from that premature bombing some weeks ago. the bomber was caught, and they all seem to roll over pretty fast...
