McBride aka McLawyer is the national contender. But, per his commercials, he coaches Little League and spearheaded the United Way. Two whole things he's done to mention on tv. Gee, doesn't sound like much to me. They are also haphazardly using their email system to communicate with supporters.

The big press they stated in supporter email that would be on tv on July 24th when McLawyer returned home from filing his paperwork in Tally, never happened.

Did you also hear that the Fed-Ex plane that crashed in Tallahassee contained checks and filings to run for office? Jeb changed the filing deadline until Saturday in case candidates' stuff went up in flames. FV

The point is not what McBride has or hasn't done. The point is that many RATs, having to choose between Jeb or Uncle Janet, would either vote for Jeb or stay home. McBride is much more palatable to less radical RATs and would therefore pick up many more RAT votes in the general election than Uncle Janet would. That's why he's more of a threat to Jeb than Reno is.

Here's some anecdotal evidence: I live in an upper class, mostly Republican neighborhood. There are NO Reno signs or bumper stickers but there are some McBride signs and bumper stickers. McBride's qualifications don't matter. His electability does.
