It appears that the DOJ had the goods against the Torch courtesy of some good FBI work . . .

If only that were the case . . . The FBI work in this case could best be described as "mind-numbingly routine" -- that's how utterly simple the whole thing was. The worst thing about politicians is not that they are corrupt, but that they are such cheap whores who don't even bother covering their tracks.

Says alot about our legal system that they don't even have to cover their tracks. The lawyers won't file charges, the courts won't allow evidence and the judges won't convict, not one of the ruling class anyway

No. The worst thing is that they do not have to cover their tracks. They have evolved into a privileged class –a Titled Nobility – above the law and rulers of their subjects. Our Founding Fathers saw fit to abolish “Titled Nobility” in America, but our hereditary rulers such as Kennedy and Clinton sort of like having a Title, too and “Senator”sounded nice.
