It's Time for the New Fall Line-up

It's time for the new Fall line-up. This is the time of the year major television networks start to announce their new fall line-up and the NFL starts to announce its line-up as the season begins in earnest, and its time for the United States to announce its new oil supplier line-up. It's time to send Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and other middle eastern suppliers packing, we don't need them anymore. Let our allies who refuse to stand beside us, like France, Germany, and Japan figure out how to deal with them.

Our new realigned oil supplier list is: number one, the United States of America: let's not be afraid to develop oil in Northern Alaska. Environmentalist are actually embarrassed that Caribou herds have actually dramatically increased as oil production has increased for that region. Major oil supplier number two is Mexico. Time to start playing hard ball with Vicente Fox who sometimes thinks he is president of both the United States and Mexico dictating immigration policy to George W. Bush. If we are going to have to take another 250,000 illegal immigrants under the Fox program, how many barrels of oil can we ask for in exchange? Supplier number three, Venezuela. Although we are punishing Venezuela by having Jimmy Carter go down and meddle, trying to be the statesman he never was while he was president, we can help stabilize the Chavez regime by becoming a solid oil trading partner, and demanding a rapid improvement in human rights in that country. And oil partner number four: Russia. There are phenomenal oil reserves on Russian soil, as well as other former Soviet satellite states. Putin and Bush have developed a warm and strong relationship and this could strengthen it even further. Now is the time to get our new fall oil supplier line-up in place.

I think this is an excellent idea.

Generally, this is a good idea. But it doesn't account for the fact that Alaskan oil is now E-X-P-O-R-T-E-D to Asian markets, now does it? Why do we need to increase production, when we could instead just mandate that we refine domestically, all the oil we now produce?

Excellent points on the future of the country and especially cogent "non-remarks that have anything to do with the Boob Tube".

Excellent post - although I'd rather see more oil coming from Russia than Venezuela. Giving Chavez more money will only stabilize another Castro.

Doesn't matter. Do you really think that the "mainstream" media would allow Americans to know that?

Sorry, but drilling is not an option until we get rid of the socialists in the Congress.

Interesting thought, since Japan depends
on Saudi oil in a major, strategic way.
They would go right under (not much of a drop).

Face it. "The socialists in the Congress" are here to stay. It's a brave new world.

Personnally, I plan to go down kicking and screaming. Doubt it will make a dent, but I'll still do what I think is right.
