Why should Congress want the military arresting people? If the military is not trained to be a police force, it should stick to that which it is prepared to do: logistics, surveillence and information gathering. &;-)

No, the military is trained to close with and destroy the enemy. All else is merely in support of that mission. The military themselves don't want anything to do with domestic policing.

The U.S. Government has a myriad of ways and employees to investigate, arrest, confiscate, intimidate, frighten and punish. Some might even say it has too many options and too much power.
