WASHINGTON (AP) --When Hillary Rodham Clinton began her Senate bid, some on the right warned she would make even liberals such as Ted Kennedy look conservative.
Fund-raising letters that raised millions of dollars for Clinton's Republican opponents decried her "wild-eyed radical leftist views" and branded her as "a liberal's liberal."

Do not grant the Federal Government any powers that you do not want Hillary to have someday.

She only gets 95% from Democratic Action! Wow, she's hardly a leftist at all!
Even the examples of the few token times she supposedly strayed from the liberal plantation are merely examples of her wanting to give the government even more power than they do (censorship, work requirements for welfare, etc.)
Stalin was a centrist by this articles standards.

You make an excellent point, Blue Screen. This is an outcome almost too horrible to contemplate, but your point is a very good one.

Someone posted on another thread earlier that AP would eventually start calling her a moderate. I guess they had a strong premonition.
To: finnman69
Blah blah blah, she did this, she did that, she talked at this conference, she got 99.9 points from this liberal group...
And that paints her a moderate HOW?
Somebody ate too many stoopid flakes this morning.

Hillary will be whoever she needs to be, whenever she needs to be it, in order to move her towards her presidential goal. Remember the headband? How about the Jewish sort-of relative? The adopted kid she never got. Wasn't there a Vogue cover? Dancing on the beach (yecch). Holding hands with Chelsea when Bill was in the doghouse. Hillary has taken on a number of personas and will no doubt have several more between now and 2008.
Unlike Jane Fonda, for instance, she doesn't do it very well. Jane seems to have really believed (in her own shallow fashion) in each of her several different lives (sex kitten, lefty-feminist-VC-sympathizer, exercise guru, rich-guy's wife, now a sort-of-Christian convert).
But Hillary never does it very well, I think because she never really believes in any of it. Every persona is just another short-term tactic in a lifetime of tactics and opportunism.
Don't you ever wonder just what it's like being a constant liar married to an even more constant liar? I do.

But since she won election in 2000, Clinton's behavior has often belied those predictions. Oh, puh-LEEEEEZE! Pol Pot probably thought Mao was a softie, too. I can only assume the rest of the article is a lie, too, no? So I can't read it.
The AP needs to read Armis' assessment of the USSR and stop spreading propaganda no one in their right mind believes: ''The dictatorship of the proletariat was a lie; Union was a lie, and Soviet was a lie, and Socialist was a lie, and Republics was a lie. Comrade was a lie. The revolution was a lie.''
To: Irene Adler
I should have added that the current persona is the all-business, hard-working, ever-dedicated-to-constituents, public servant. Of course, the clintonista press helps out by promoting every shift as if the ones before it had never existed--creative amnesia favoring the Clintons (witness this article).
To: finnman69
"I have always tried to do what I thought was both right and practical," she said. "It's important to have core principals and values, but if you're going to be active in policy and politics you have to be a realist." What a bald-faced lie. Hillary, like her husband, will say and do anything that will get her elected. The only problem is the nit-wits who are allowed to vote in this country who will buy this sollop without reading or thinking anything.

Well, I guess it's about time for OwlBore to get another makover, too.
He was quoted whispering to Tipper, "The 'alpha male' thingy didn't take, that b*tch is out-doing me again."
To: finnman69
Under oath, Hillary Clinton can't recall her own name!
