I wish I could put my hands on that "Angry Young Pachyderms" tape I had. (They were a Virginia folk group that did parodies of the left and made fun of the Clintons among others. They were mentioned in Black I.) Anyway, one of their hit songs was "Dumbed Down Edumacation" that lays the blame for our failing schools on the NEA.
