I would much rather have a guy who was in bed with a young girl than a guy who was in bed with Enron Perhaps the prototypical piece of Democratic bilge. A soundbite which in one line is concurrently sick, irrelevant, bitter, effete, and directly opposite the truth.

Lieberman, Levin and Rubin are playing with fire here, and to get out of it one of them is going to have to go down.
Rubin's widow better make sure his life insurance was paid up.
Whoops! Let the cat out of the bag - but there's always room for another Vince Foster with this crowd of Democrats. They have a reputation to maintain.

Rubin ran the biggest pump and dump in history. Simple matter to trace the money but it won't be done.

Rush is going to hammer this business about Robert Rubin until the cows come home. Hannity's been on this issue big time a well for a week or two. It's obvious Lieberman's feeling the heat or he wouldn't make the weasely-Clintonesque statement he made.
I predict Lieberman and Levin will buckle and mount a "sham" of a hearing on Enron fairly soon to disperse the heat they're feeling. They won't call anyone important to testify--it will all be for show--but it's possible that some juicy info might emerge which will embarass or implicate them.
Rush is right. Despite all the Democrat's fake indignation, the Enron scandal is all about them-not Bush.

"I would much rather have a guy who was in bed with a young girl than a guy who was in bed with Enron."...and a guy who was in bed with both of them, like Clinton - now there's a real man!... </sarcasm......

They know a real investigation would lead to the Lincoln Bedroom of the Clinton White House, where Ken Lay stayed. Lay golfed with Clinton, and Rubin rang the phone off the hook at the Bush White House, begging for shaddy favors as Enron collapsed. The Bushies had to tell him to stop calling, that it wasn't seemly or proper for him to suck up to them like that - especially not for a company collapsing under the weight of its own corruption. It's more about party power; it ain't about the little guy or 401K's.

Rubin did everything he could to try to prop up the deceptive illusion that Enron was healthy. The financial system could have caught the Enron fire early before it went out of control. However, a corrupt administration wanted to keep taking in funds.
