We have all heard of the corporate misdeeds at Enron, Global Crossing, Arthur Anderson and Citigroup. It's hard to miss. Screaming headlines in daily papers and breathless coverage by network and cable news programs have made sure everyone knows about these unethical and potentially criminal acts.

Yep. Union bosses get a pass, and their corruption goes unmentioned by the presstitutes, as long as they get out the vote for the presstitutes' favored party.

Likewise the trial lawyers. Long before the speculative stock market bubble burst, eliminating billions of dollars of percieved value, tort lawyers were raping one corporation after another with the asbestos scam, and destroying billions of dollars of real value. This is never mentioned. Nor is the Dems' blockage of even the mildest tort reform. The lawyers shovel too much of the proceeds to the DNC.

The Democrats are never for the working man. They are the party of high taxes on cigarettes and beer which hurts the poor most. They support union ripoffs of the manufacturing worker. And they are the party of rich lawyers stealing the revenue of companies. Those companies could use that money to invest in plant and equipment to increase earnings thereby increasing the worker's 401ks.

How much more obvious can it be? Clinton effectively nullified the Beck Supreme Court decision - that union members have a right to withhold money used for political purposes - so that the poor slob could continue to be robbed to enrich the union bosses and the Democrat party. Downright corrupt. I "look for - the union label" and I buy something else, preferably not Chinese. BTW, if something says "Made in China, ROC", that means Taiwan, a free country. You can buy that with a near-clear conscience.

Well said, bump! Sen. McConnell's amendment will - I hope - see life again as a bill all its own. Now people should tell me again how both parties are just the same. Dems would no more pass laws to help end the corruption of Unions than they would fly to the moon. (Isn't that latter a nice thought, though?)
