Speaking of mistaken identity...

About a year and a half ago, my folks went to Mexico for their first trip abroad in their whole 30+ year marriage. They went to dinner one night and saw people whispering and pointing at them. They, of course, tried to ignore it but the crowd of onlookers grew, and they were getting paranoid that they were breaking some foreign dining taboo.

Finally somebody ventured forward and asked in a heavy accent, "Can I have an autograph, Mr. Rogers??" No, not "Won't you be my neighbor?" Mr. Rogers. Try "The Gambler" or "Ruby"!! LOL! He couldn't convince them he wasn't Kenny.

My own dad, mistaken for Kenny Rogers! What a hoot! I guess I can see it though, he has gotten quite grey and grew out his nice grey beard. Wish I had a picture of him for y'all!!
