But on the other hand, we have a motorcycle riding repub gov who is telling all us ladies to go out and get a piece and learn how to use it. We could target shoot at skeeters.

Too hard to hit. I will admit to shooting at dragonflies once while duck hunting in Ouachita Parish. (I was bored)

Bats have radar that help them dodge the shots. When I was a kid we would throw rocks at bats and watch them dodge them. Amazing.

Bat sonar is 100% useless at avoiding incoming supersonic projectiles. They could learn to dodge when a gun barrel points in their direction. Probably it just means that they tend to make sudden sharp changes of direction.

Aren't most shotgun rounds barely supersonic at the muzzle (1100-1200 fps)? By the time the shot has travelled a few yards, it may no longer be supersonic.

I don't know about radar, but try shooting into a "cloud" of blackbirds. They move out of the way of the shot. No kidding. I unloaded a 12 guage at them and didn't hit a single bird.

Monroe is where west Nile got pretty bad last year, now it's back there again. I'm not too far from Monroe, I sure hope it doesn't come around here.

Lemme tell you... wearing a long-sleeved shirt when mowing the lawn is no fun. Neither is the DEET insect repellent - it makes little flecks of new-mown grass stick to your skin. One winds up looking like "Swamp Thing". ;-)
