Morning, friend
To: MeeknMing
...I will bet the Dems are having a shitfit, seeing this news from their cooked up news outlet.
Can you imagine this coming from CNN, and in public? My GOD, if CNN sez' 71% it must be somewere around 80% on the real numbers.

The dimms must be in need of medication.

hehehe, you can say that again.
To: JohnHuang2
Who cares? Clinton's ratings were 63 percent during his impeachment.
Go figure.....

And, most significantly, this survey is of ALL ADULTS: Among likely voters, Bush's job rating is probably 5%-7% points higher.
To: Hunble
X42's ratings were propped up by a fawning media. Bush's rating are sky-high notwithstanding the horrendous ink and airtime he's been getting.
To: JohnHuang2
I know, and his ratings are outstanding.
My comment was about the people who participate in these polls.
Yes, I think that you should pass a basic political comprehension test before being allowed to participate in a poll.

I love the Jay Lenno street interviews. Most of the people have no clue who their State governor is.
And I am to give weight to a poll that tells me that 71 percent think that President Bush is doing a good job? Can those same people name who is the First Lady?
Sorry, I love President Bush, but am getting very frustrated with the ignorance of the public.
This is the last think in the world that I want to do, but next month, I will be running for city counsel. Why? Because at least my NO vote will count when the city attempts to pass illegal local laws.
Even if I do not win the election (actually, I hope not), I can at least tell the people in my own town of 2,563 that many of their laws are simply illegal, and why. I am just a citizen that demands the government follow the laws of our land.
Back to this topic: Why are American citizens so darn ignorant?
Sorry JH2, I am a little frustrated tonight.

Why are American citizens so darn ignorant?Actually, as the old adage goes, I'd still rather be governed by the first 500 names in the telephone book than the Harvard faculty. ;^)
