The conversation was getting kind of deep a few days back when some wag wondered out loud what the daughter would be like had Joseph Stalin and Marie Antoinette married and together raised the child. According to one woman, there is a U.S. Senator with the mean attitude of a Stalin, yet who also demands the shameful personal excesses of an Antoinette.
At first thought, these extrapolations sound silly, of course -- like a cartoon painted in word pictures. Funny, yes. But still silly. Because, the original topic of the conversation was about Hillary admonishing her seniors at the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) a few days previous.
Hillary was apparently just spurting with inaccurate propaganda for that function. For instance, she said that statistics from the 1990s show the creation of 42 million jobs with 7 million people leaving poverty and the elimination of the federal budget deficit.
Clinton compounded the lies by saying that President Bush and congressional Republicans have squandered the economic gains made when her husband was President. She added: "If all of the arrows that were pointing up are now pointing down, and those that were headed down are going back up, blame cannot and should not be placed at the feet of those who led our nation during one of the greatest periods of prosperity and progress in our nation."
Of course, no mention was made of the fact that the Clinton administration used statistics to lie a lot. She also forgot to mention that the administration kept billions of our tax dollars at risk to pump up the stock market. Nor were little matters like the topsy-turvy balance of trade, faulty federal bookkeeping, high inflation, and the pilfering of Social Security money to balance the budget mentioned. They defrauded the American people, in other words -- cooked the books to make things look good. Now, those frauds are jumping out to bite us.
Everything she said was typical Party propaganda. The Democrats know that most American voters do not know any better and they can say just about anything they please. They easily get away with it because most of the liberal corporate media will help by covering up scandals for the far-left Democrats.
For instance, Associated Press, a major media cheering section for the socialist-Democrats, labels the Democratic Leadership Council as "centrist" and "moderate," which is a huge stretch of the imagination.
First, for all practical purposes, the DLC and the "New Democrats" socialist group are one and the same. They even admit it on their web page.(1) Both groups were started by Senator Joe Lieberman. Both support world socialism.
Checking out their web page, we see prominently listed their "Third Way" Fabian Socialist propaganda page. According to the DLC: "The Third Way is a global movement dedicated to modernizing progressive politics for the information age. Third Way politics seeks a new balance of economic dynamism and social security, a new social compact based on individual rights and responsibilities, and a new model for governing that equips citizens and communities to solve their own problems."
That's just baloney. However, the "Progressive Challenge" newsletter(2) often shows with striking clarity just how deeply the socialist movement is entrenched within the Democratic Party. For a real eye opener, check out their "Fairness Agenda." Also note that the Democratic Party supports the Progressive Challenge and the extremely far-left House Progressive Caucus.(3) That's the bulk of the Democratic Party's "useful idiot" base in Congress.
In a 1999 paper written for the Heritage Lectures, Professor Christian Watrin, Ph.D., from the Institute for Economic Policy Research at the University of Cologne, Germany,(4) points out some of the real socialist treachery of this international Third Way movement:
"The social democratic 'third way' model is not a disguised libertarian program. It does not describe a new chapter in social democratic thinking and ideology. In contrast to the views taken by those who favor a free society, the starting point of 'third-way' adherents is not the freedom of the individual but the collectivistic ideas that are alive still in the background of socialist thinking. Therefore, the collective -- not the individual -- is important; the politician -- not the entrepreneur or the wealth-seeking individual -- is at the heart of the socialist design."
And so it goes. Hillary Clinton, Joe Lieberman, the New Democrats and the Democratic Leadership Council are working to countermand the Constitution of the United States, all of the Original Intent of the Founding Fathers and our Liberty. The real truth is there for anyone who wants to investigate a little. But, our left-leaning corporate media will never relate a word of this to the American people.

Truth is whatever you say it is, in the Orwellian world of the 21st century post-modernist. There was a time not too long ago that truth was valued above all. The founding fathers knew that this system of government could work only for a moral people.

And my sister who is an angry Democrat Commie thinks that it is dangerous for there to be global companies, but thinks global government is fine. That is their mindset. Government is everything. Their power is all that matters to them.

The comparison is apt. Hillary, a thinly disguised Marxist from way back in her Wellesley days, has lived a life of pampered luxury even as she decries the excesses of capitalism. Never having worked a real job in her life, she is thoroughly insulated from the workaday realities that bind real people. Her arrogance has been well documented (ask Peggy Noonan or Barbara Olsen).
Yet hers is not the indulged naivete of a court poodle like Antoinette. She is a cunning, amoral she-wolf in an ugly pantsuit.
Hillary and all are power hungry scoundrels. Nothing more. Their "third way" should be called the "third attempt". The goal of their power ambitions is to...well...gain power. The immediate byproduct is to take rights and property away from everyone else. The marxist/socialist approach is simply that, an approach to gain power. Socialism is the most optimum approach for Hillary and her horde to gain this power. If the optimum were outright rebellion to totaltarianism than that is the path they would chose.
Liberals/Socialist would be rendered all but mute if it were not for their ability to buy votes. If you note the constant spending sprees of Congress in the last 45 years, then you can trace a somewhat sporatic and chaotic attempt to grow the government-oops not really grow government as much as buy constituency.
The Hillary-Care of the early nineties was a clear example of the power grab. The outline of that demonic plan had one grand theme, the government control of your health. But no one, particularly the hard left, could agree on any one plan. It had more to do with balancing who would they anger and who they would endear with the power grab. The thing that has held the hydra of tyranny back is the constitution...well for the most part.

So true. And Hillary still has those 1200 FBI files. She could be a threat to Captain Picard next year.

1. ENACT A FAIRNESS BUDGET FOR AMERICA
America's abundant resources must be used to build a decent society. We propose cutting military spending and corporate giveaways and reinstating progressive taxation, while redirecting revenues to invest in human resources, such as schools and health care, and in infrastructure, such as mass transit.
2. ENSURE JOBS, LIVING WAGES, BENEFITS & WORKER RIGHTS FOR ALL
Our nation depends on a vigorous, and innovative workforce that is assured basic rights. We propose government job creation, especially in areas of high unemployment, laws requiring profitable companies to compensate workers and communities affected by job cuts, elimination of tax breaks for companies that provide excessive executive compensation, and stronger protections against labor rights violations and all forms of discrimination.
3. ENSURE EQUALITY FOR ALL
Despite progress, there is still widespread discrimination in this country based on race, gender, disabilities, age, and sexual orientation. Wage gaps by sex, race and de facto segregation still exist while national rates of incarceration are disproportionately higher for African Americans than for other groups. Steps toward addressing these problems include sufficient funding for agencies that enforce anti-discrimination laws and reinforcing affirmative action. Steps should be taken to move from the punitive and coercive "social control" model of drug policy toward a public health and community economic development model.
4. PROMOTE A JUST AND SUSTAINABLE GLOBAL ECONOMY
Free trade agreements and World Bank/IMF structural adjustment programs have increased inequalities at home and abroad. We propose an international dialogue to develop alternative trade and development initiatives that encompass the protection of worker and women's rights, environmental standards, food security, and oppose the MAI, and also tackle the issues of immigration and the need to reduce inequalities.
5. SUPPORT DEMILITARIZATION, HUMAN RIGHTS, & A NEW INTERNATIONALISM
Cutting military expenditures; negotiating to eliminate all nuclear weapons; shifting R&D priorities towards pressing domestic needs; stopping NATO expansion; banning landmines; ending subsidies for arms exporters and arms transfers for dictators; banning covert operations; shifting from unilateral military aid and US-controlled peacekeeping missions abroad to multilateral responses; and promoting real human rights abroad, which include political, economic, social, and cultural rights.
6. GUARANTEE SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES & ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
Distribution of more federal funds, especially to poor communities; revisions in trade agreements to allow communities to enact strong environmental and labor laws; and re-targeting federal insurance, subsidies, and loans for community development; promoting the right to a clean environment and replacing subsidies for polluters with subsidies for ecologically sound products and services. We also support a shift to more sustainable agriculture that supports rural communities and a safe food supply.
7. PROVIDE ADEQUATE SOCIAL INVESTMENT
Preserving social security and protecting it from privatization; remaking economic security structures to address the needs of the poor; offering universal access to affordable quality health care; protecting and expanding Medicare eligibility to people of all ages and income; creating a bill of rights to protect health care consumers; increasing funds for low-income housing assistance; and providing adequate funding for quality public education.
8. ELIMINATE PRIVATE MONEY IN POLITICS AND REFORM THE ELECTORAL SYSTEM
Public outrage is increasing over the power of corporations in politics including influence peddling and political favors granted to special interests. Candidates who reject contributions from private sources, accept spending limits, and run shorter campaigns should have the option of receiving clean, disinterested money for their elections. Voting rights and access to the electoral process and government should be guaranteed for all.
