McKinney Cashing In With Muslim Donors

Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, who raised eyebrows in March when she alleged that President Bush's family had both anticipated and profited from the Sept. 11 attacks, is back on the hotseat again - with new questions emerging about her supporters.

"At least three-quarters of the $234,299 that McKinney has raised from individuals [who gave to her reelection campaign this year] is from donors with Muslim or Arab American surnames, the great majority of whom live outside her district," reported the Washington Post on Friday.

At least one McKinney donor, American Muslim Foundation Director Abdurahman Alamoudi, has publicly bragged about his ties to the terrorist organization Hamas.

Weeks after the 9-11 attacks, McKinney lobbied Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal for a $10 million donation for her district after the cash had been rejected by then-New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was offended by bin Talal's statements linking the attacks to the U.S.'s ties to Israel.

Bill Banks, McKinney's campaign manager, told the Post that Muslim Americans support her reelection because "they feel she has spoken out for the [Middle East] policies of the U.S. to be somewhat balanced."

Meanwhile, Jewish donors who think McKinney is off her rocker when it comes to the Mideast have been pouring money into the campaign coffers of her primary opponent, former state judge Denise Majette.

Another intriguing detail about McKinney's fundraising came to light this week, when the Internet news forum Instapundit noticed that records on the Web site OpenSecrets.org showed the Georgia Democrat collecting $13,850 on Sept. 11 alone - all from donors with Arab-sounding names.

McKinney's 9-11 jackpot represents her third highest single-day tally since 1999.

I guess we can't trust McKinney.

That's an understatement.

Until now she's been known as the cutest little commie in Congress.

I guess we can now call her the cutest little terrorist in Congress.

The Arabs want to support an anti-American leftist for re-election? I'm shocked, just shocked. The left wing media has been telling me that Israel is evil and Islam is a religion of peace. (sarcasm off)

Time to deport all non-citizen arabs as enemies of the state.

Serious question- how are we going to have any "surprise attack" on Iraq (or anywhere else) when there are known traitors and Communists in the House and the Senate? I'm not a paranoid conspiracy nut, but really, can you imagine John Dingell, Cynthia McKinney, or any of at least two dozen other America-hating politicians not rushing to cash in with classified information??

At least we got rid of the traitor who formerly occupied the White House...

Freepers knew about McKinney's Arab donors months ago. It's amazing how long it took the media to report on this. Today's Atl.Journ-Const. finally had an article about McKinney's donors. I guess better late than never.
