I wonder how many retirees, in hindsight, actually believe they did they best they could for America? Most of them, when speaking to their present and past colleagues, retort they did their best for their party.

I wonder how many would admit that they did it for the best of themselves. IMO, neither the country nor the party are the benefactors of most of their actions.
