***At about 8:40am, a Hamas suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at Merion Junction, on board a No. 361 bus from Haifa to Tzfat (Safed). The explosion occurred not far from the Tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. 9 persons were murdered and over 50 wounded, some in serious condition. The victims were transported to Rebecca Ziv Hospital in Tzfat, Poriah Hospital in Tiberias, and the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.

***At about 11:30pm, a lone terrorist identified as a 19-year-old Hevron resident opened fire with a handgun at point-blank range at the driver of a Bezeq Telephone Company truck in the area of Jerusalem's Damascus Gate entrance to the Old City. Two persons were murdered in the attack, an Israeli and an Arab. 16 others were wounded. Two seriously wounded by gunfire were taken to the trauma unit of Hadassah Hospital. Others, mostly Arab passersby who were in the area, sustained injuries resulting from falls and the like as they ducked for cover. Others were treated for hysteria.

***At about 12:30, three soldiers were lightly wounded in a bomb attack in Shechem. They were transported to Tel HaShomer Hospital.

***At about 1:35pm, shots were fired at an Israeli vehicle in the western Shomron between the communities of Avnei Chafetz and Einav. One person, a hitchhiker, was seriously wounded by gunfire. Two others were less seriously injured. Victims were transported to Hillel Yafeh Hospital in Hadera.

***At about 3:00pm, a vehicle traveling in the Benjamin Regional Council district of the Shomron was targeted in a roadside bomb attack between the communities of Talmon/Dolev and Beit El. Two victims arrived by army helicopter a short time ago in the trauma unit of Hadassah hospital, both listed in serious condition. Another 2-3 persons were less seriously wounded and are en route to Jerusalem hospitals via ambulance.

This report does not include many shootings, bombing and rocket attacks throughout Gush Katif. There was also one failed terrorist infiltration in northern Gush Katif. The terrorist was detected and shot dead.

11 persons have been murdered in attacks today and over 70 wounded.

With the U.S. Government's lack of outrage over the 5 Americans killed the other day at Hebrew University, Hamas has the green light. They know America will do nothing beyond token bitching by the president in a press conference, even when Americans are the ones killed. Mark my words: Hamas' terrorism will radically accelerate now.

For all that we hated the old Russian Communists; they would have stomped all over such terrorists with both feet if Russians had been attacked like this! (I know, Communists are terrorists, they hate competition).

Time to stomp Hamas into the dirt and gain back a little respect for these United States of America. No one respects empty words.

I keep hoping the president will launch ARC LIGHT missions on the Bekka Valley of Lebanon to take out hezbollah, which would divert attention from the Israelis eliminating the Gaza area.

No! This isn't the US's job. If we took on Hamas, we'd be putting ourselves in the Israelis' shoes. They don't need us to do that, nor do I think they want us to.

They should clean up the Hamas/Pali/Aqsa nests, and they will if only the US and the EU will stop pretending that there is a peace process, and that any Israeli counterterrorist action is "heavy handed" or "oppressive."

In case you failed to notice, the death cultists of islam have ALREADY declared and BEGUN war against the citizens of these United States and every other country that has not yet embraced their insanity.

I no longer believe the fiction of islam worshipping the same God as Jews or Christians, only under a different name. They OBVIOUSLY worship EVIL and DEATH, they revel in suicide-murders, they deny their fellows and all others basic freedom to live in peace -they have made themselves enemies of civilization and freedom.

The question is now : Will the decent peoples prevail or will the world go down a darker path ?

Time to raise up the torch of liberty and illuminate the truth. Rats, cockroaches and other vermin will run from the light.

I don't disagree with what you say in your post #8.

Still, I'd prefer that the Israelis take the lead on the problem in their locale, with our full support. The current situation is that they are restrained by outside pressure from the US, the EU, the media, and the UN. Why should we step in before we release our share of that restraint?
