Oregon Fire Fight Hampered by Cooler Weather

Back Dave - no sucker fish, but a really nicely colored bow that hit 21". Howling wind from the west & temps in the high 40s. Tough evening for fishing. The six year old cried uncle just as the wind was starting to lay down!

This is exactly what I meant about the Portland mediots and in particuliar the Oregonian being a butt boy for the enviral fascist with your comment here:

Oregonian Sunday had a front page story that said it would cost to much to clean up the woods so we should just accept the fires.

This is incredible and show how the Oregonian is just printing fish wraps to push the Rural cleansing agendas of the Green Fascists.

That 9.5% income tax happens really fast too. I forget how low the net income is before it kicks in.

And the solution to all of our enviral problems?

Gain control of the media and public opinion. By being sensible. By espousing Carry Okies book. By preaching managed use. By promoting property rights. By detailing the errors in the enviral agenda. By detailing the good that had come of it early on in their movement. By showing how corrupt and power hungry the large enviral covens have become, i.e. Sierra Club.

The envirals have taken over by way of media hype and crisis. We can use the same tactic or we can go the other route and take the high, logical, road. But the key is getting the media's favor. How do we do that? We make it hard for media outlets to keep advertisers while pushing their econaught agenda. We boycott eco-funders. We befriend (however repulsive this may be) local media folk that seem to be receptive. And the biggie, we need to get young people on our side. We need to get the western campuses to throw off the dogma and see reason.

I don't know how much sense this post makes 'cause I'm only on my first cup of coffee and a little scattered...but these are my thoughts on how to regain control.
