Israeli police yesterday look over a shredded car where a bungling bomber accidentally set off his explosive belt, killing himself and injuring the driver with whom he'd hitched a ride.
August 6, 2002 -- JERUSALEM - Israeli forces foiled two terrorist attacks yesterday, tightened restrictions on Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and arrested the "dispatcher" of the homicide bus bomber who killed nine people Sunday, authorities said.

Sorry to hear the guy got hurt by helping a hitch-hiker. I was hoping that it was a Pali handler that was driving. I want some of the Hamacidal maniacs to survive their bombs. Let them "feel the pain" of what they are doing. It happened to one last year. The belt missfired. I saw a picture of him laying on the ground in agony as the bomb burned all his skin off around his waist. Talk about a belly flop hurting...

The couple's 3-year-old son and 8-month-old baby were wounded in the attack. Can you imagine the media convulsions if a Palestinian family were shot at with their little babies in the car? Why don't we see the same outrage here?

Authorities said Avital Volansky, 27, and her husband, Avi, 29, were fatally ambushed while driving Sunday night to their settlement of Eli. The couple's 3-year-old son and 8-month-old baby were wounded in the attack. God bless this devastated family.

They said the unidentified man was apparently trying to reach the Israeli town of Afula to carry out his attack and had gotten a ride with an Israeli Arab from Nazareth. no camels?
