Souther Oregon:
The biggest industry here is pot growing. The "environmentals" don't want logging, roads, forest service personel, anyone, going into the forests. Around here if you go up into the mountains in your jeep or on horse back, you go armed. And never alone.
Walking through the trees used to be nice. Nowdays, you'll get fish hooks suspended on monofilament snagging your eyes if you do.
Personally, I just as soon we had an open season on the SOB's.
