Was this bioterrorism? Just a theory, you know, but the spread has been rather spotty, leapfrogging great distances, unlikely to have been spread simply by mosquitos or even migrating birds, in a seemingly random pattern.

That's not true. It has a very clear pattern of spread from east to west. You should also know that about 90-95% of the people infected with the virus never know that they are infected. They never develop symtoms. When you include economic damage, fire ants would be a much more effective bioweapon.

That's what I have been thinking. If it is not deliberate then the terrorists are luckier than a 3 peckered dog....they didn't even have to do anything and it looks like terrorism.
