Question for those on my bump list: I often post articles from Men's News Daily ( www.mensnewsdaily.com ) here and sometimes from FatherMag.com Do you read articles at those sites anyway?

I'm asking on the verge of posting another article from MND today by Jeffery M. Leving (he is a lawyer with an MND internet radio program) entitled; "New Adoption Law Correctly Requires Mothers to Publish Sexual Pasts, Says Fatherhood Educational Institute"

It's a pretty good article that gets right to the heart of some matters well worth mentioning. Example:
An argument that is seldom put forth is that fathers want notification to contest an adoption because they want to be responsible and have meaningful and loving relationships with their children. Why is it so hard to believe that a man would want to love, nurture, and protect his own offspring?

We as a society are talking out of both sides of our mouths when we say we want fathers to be "responsible" and involved, yet when they come forward, their motives for doing so are denigrated or questioned. The truth is that most men love their children and want to be there for them as much as most mothers do.

To me, this is an example of societies' conflicted and stereotypical thinking regarding dads and men. Unfortunately, male and father bashing has become so automatic that many people don't even realize that they are doing it.

Interested in seeing any articles on father's issues. Although my marriage is very strong and we've both decided that we'll never divorce (except for adultery), these articles are good info.

The way to fix the child support issue is to fix the divorce issue behind it. Ban no fault divorce. Divorce should only be allowed for adultery or courtroom proven abuse. The one who is at fault loses all; house, kids, cars, everything except personal belongings. If divorce is unthinkable more people will work on keeping the marriage at least livable.

As long as the feminists have a no-fault divorce escape hatch available they will use it to destroy every marriage they come in contact with.

God Save America (Please)

I browse MND occationally but not every day. I'm always interested in legal initiatives and challenges to the system that filed and lobbied for. That being said, I try not to search for too much on this subject because I don't want to end up dwelling on how screwed and biased the system is. Fathers are the red-headed step children of society, the courts and the divorce industry and probably will be for many years to come. I always like to see progress being made, but my kid will be 18 in about 5 years and I don't have much faith that anything will happen in that time to help my situation any. I just hope it can be changed before my kid ends up being used by the system as an adult after being used by it during childhood.
