Anti-racism is a racist code-phrase for anti-white.
Regis de Goutte, a French magistrate who serves on the committee, said Canada's recent laws limiting expression on the Internet showed it is ready to limit free speech. "That shows they have accepted there are exceptions to freedom of speech and so should allow individual complaints to be heard by the committee," he said.
Nazi scum.

Canada yesterday appeared before a United Nations committee... They shouldn't have bothered to show up.

The UN - All the moral authority of Beavis and Butthead.
Their inaccurate data (which ignores Islamic slavery and terrorism)
is based on Ms. Clio, of course

41 countries subject themselves to UN control?
Perhaps that's not such a bad idea. They can chew each other up. The French accusing the Germans of racism, etc., etc.
Meanwhile the U.S., Great Britain and Canada do as they please: one of the prerogatives of free minds and a constitution-based the rule of law.

Hey - I thought Blame Canada was a Clinton theme!

Alas, Canada is now learning a lesson, to the dismay of people, such as the still photogenic Sheila Copps. That lesson- and I as an immigrant of now 47 years, could have taught them, is this.
Irrational and ungrateful though it may seem, some recent immigrants to Canada will clutch at any statement that enables self pity. This is followed by, in some cases - anger. There are enough charlatans to keep on stirring this situation up.
Yet, even though thousands of illegals get in and admittedly use Canada to enter the U.S.A. many use coercion and even violent behaviour to stay.
I can do no better than to mention that to the right of this web page.(Blue lettering)is a header- "Mark Steyn. Let's Have Diversity of Thought". It is in the fourth group down.
We older immigrants know full well that the game has changed. It still staggers many of us to see Canada give out the kid glove treatment. We didnt get it- nor wanted it either. Then Canada gets it right in the chops as a thank you. United Nations be damned.

Gosh, that's funny! After 9-11 I saw a lot of hateful, anti-American posts on yahoo news message boards from Canadians.... they were all blaming America for all the evils of the world. Wow, so there is evil and injustice in other parts of the world. Go figure. :oP Quick, someone inform the Progressives!!! Maybe we can get them off America's back for a few seconds.

"immigrants do not earn as much as people born in the country." In other words........."give all your money to people who look like Kofi and all will be forgiven".
Just curious.......did the UN "grill" certain countries in Africa?
Yeah, I didn't think so.

Canada already throughly socialist, is not sufficiently socialist yet for the UN bureaucrats. "Anti-racism" is also code for socialism. The poor Canadians - they did everything the UN asked them to do and it turns out it wasn't enough. All the same I don't feel one bit sorry for their plight.

Unbelievable how Canadians rallied when Americans were stranded at Canadian Airports. The whole air services were grounded. Gander, Labrador has quite a story about it. In British Columbia, a good Canadian woman drove American seniors two thousand miles. She felt they were becoming extremely distraught so far away from home.
Oh well, American haters seem to get the most attention- few though they are. (Sigh). Anyway, from the friendliest border crossing (I think) between the twin cities at the Great Lakes--- Cheers.

This is too bizarrely funny. The UN turns its' back on Zimbabwean racism - that's against whites, doncha know? And Canada, whose Prime Minister Cheritan has done everything he could to fund African aid, is accused of racism. When will we learn?

Unbelievable how Canadians rallied when Americans were stranded at Canadian Airports.Canadians have always rallied and are ever reliable, unless their good nature and hospitality lead to their downfall. The same thing can be said about America.

Can you imagine turning over the the UN jurisdiction over how "racist" your country is, then allow then to prescribe a fix?
Sheesh.
