I would love it if Quebec seceded. Would the Canadians follow Lincoln's lead, and demolish and occupy Quebec, and call it a resoration of the union? Would be interesting to see what they would do.

Would like to see it myself. I don't think the Canadian Govt. has the nuts to do anything about it if they did secede.
I imagine a good chunk of NH and Maine would be more than happy to join them.
Haven't heard much from the Quebec Seccesion movement lately I think they are just waiting for the right time. The last vote was fairly close if I remember right.

I tell you here and now, whatever the external shape of the response, it would involve large and ongoing cash transfers INTO the newly constituted Quebec from the ROC (Rest Of Canada).
