What terrorist attacks on America and Ameican interests?

The left sees Wall Street as an enemy. The center identifies it as a partner in solving America's problems. The left panders to the poor by pointing at the rich as its enemy. The center asks all of us to improve ourselves and act with greater responsibility. The left rekindles racism by splitting Americans according to their wealth and, through affirmative action, by their race and gender. The center treats them as individuals and asks an end to debilitating division.
This has not been true since the mid-60's. There were moderate democrats then who had the best interests of America at heart--they were just deluded.
Today, among the leaders of the Democratic party, there are only two types:
(1) Avowed leftists who explicitly seek a totalitarian state (Maxine Waters, Patrick Leahy, Cynthia McKinney et al et al et al); and
(2) Secret leftists (the third-way, DLC folks) who seek the same goal covertly.
As Democrat politicians seek national office, they tend to move from category 1 to category 2. Hillary is a great example. She was (and I believe still is) a Saul Alinsky style Leninist. But the demands of national office have moved her into the covert camp. She still splits the country along racial lines and feeds the racial fires--it is just a little more subtle.
The only differences between 1 and 2 are honesty and electoral success. At least Gore is honest about his intent when he does the class warfare stuff. But America does not yet have support for a Leninist agenda in the population. So the category 2 folks do better electorally.
