Freedom, I camped on Grandfather Mountian when I was a child and mt dad took us up the Skyline Drive and into North Carolina and Tennessee. It was beautiful!

I see nothing in guys making left hand turns all day - Mo's Southron hubby loves the stuff - as do lotsa folks.

Visiting in Charleston, I assume you drove along The Battery by the water.
During WWI, my granddfather had a church there, and my mother was 17.
She described the day the war ended, everyone streaming out on The Battery to celebrate - yelling and singing, and boat whistles sounding.
It must have been a dramatic and memorable moment.
After college and a year of teaching, she and my father were married there in 1923.
