Congratulations, Dixie.
Hope you're sitting back and basking in the kudos.
You richly deserve them. : )

Beautiful Texas sunset! Nice.
Thanks! This bears repeating........
As Sam Houston noted, "Texas can get along without the United
States, but the United States cannot get along without Texas."
by the way, all that talk about Texas pride and all is just not true.......< /blatant lie > lol !

I got a kick out of this, thought ya'll might?.........
President Bush & Queen Elizabeth II
At Heathrow Airport, a 300-foot long red carpet is stretched out to Air Force One and President Bush strides to a warm but dignified handshake from Queen Elizabeth II.
They ride in a silver 1934 Bentley limousine to the edge of central London where they board an open, 17th Century coach hitched to six magnificent white matching horses.
As they ride toward Buckingham Palace, each looking sideways and waving to the thousands of cheering Brits lining the streets, all is going well. But suddenly the right rear horse lets fly with the most horrendous, earth-rending, eye-smarting blast of gastronomic flatulence ever heard in the British Empire, including Bermuda, Tortola and The Falkland Islands. It shakes the coach.
Uncomfortable, but under control, the two dignitaries of state do their best to ignore the whole incident. But then the Queen decides that's ridiculous. She turns to President Bush and explains, "Mr. President, please accept my regrets.... I'm sure you understand that there are some things that even a Queen cannot control."
George Bush, ever the gentleman, replies, "Your Majesty, please don't give the matter another thought... you know, if you hadn't said something, I would have thought it was one of the horses."

As was the rest of the Low Country. Several years later, a devastating earthquake hit the low country causing much damage so that we had rebuild once again. Then again in 1989 after Hugo. The people in the Low Country are a resilient bunch!!! We always come back!!!

Actually what I trying to do was to use the logo and I can't get it anywhere but on the desktop. I've tried to bring it over here and do like y'all do.
I'm think I'm html impaired...big time.
To: MeeknMing
As I'm sure that you and everyone knows, if it's own nation, Texas would rank # 7 in the world. Just the facts Jack.
Read it and weep. ;-)
I love my homestate and all that it represents.

That is a poem worth keeping and reading everyday. Precious kitten - kind of reminds me of Tinker Bell, 'cept she was gray and sweet as could be. She's over the rainbow bridge with Momma.

Oh Stainless, how wonderful! I bet she is beautiful. Got a picture of her for us?
