Fort Sumter guards the entrance to Charleston Harbour and is a site worth seeing.
It sits at the mouth of the Harbour right where the Cooper River and the Ashley River come together to form the Atlantic Ocean.
You can see the Fort from Sullivans Island and Mt Pleasent on the East, Charleston and the Battery on the north and James Island on the West.
