I didn't read the whole article, but I do think that bringing back DDT is the answer, that is as long as we warn residents to stay indoors while the spraying is going on.

I remember the outbreaks of encephalitis that we used to get in the summers at the Jersey shore. DDT ended it and reduced the mosquito population for years. The mosquitos seem to be making a come back, so maybe DDT should also.

Thank you. I certainly don't think we should return to those days when we played in the spray, but with a little care, DDT could once again be a cheap, very effective antidote to insect infestations. The diseases they carry are all too immediate and real to ignore.
