That is highly debated, and in part would just substitute one question for another, for who are the Ainu, genetically, and where did THEY come from?

Basque, while fascinatingly similar to some American Indian tongues (esp Shoshone and those of Wyo/Ida region)...is not quite the ONLY language in Europe that is non-IU.

Hungarian, Finnish, Albanian, and of course the tongues of the Caucasus itself such as Armenian, Georgian, etc. would come to mind...Lapps of Norway? Lithuanian, Lettish?
