I would suggest bidding a dollar a barrel for ANY oil, grade for grade, over the price we are now paying for Saudi Arabian crude, for oil from any other source. This would result in costing us a few million a day, but the message to the Saudis would be unmistakable, and it is still cheaper than a full-scale battle.
