Since the overthrow of communism in the Soviet Union, several former members of the USSR are now exporting food again as another example. The US government is taxing in so many ways that they own a large percentage of the means of production. Over 50% of the health care payments now come from the government. The government is by far the largest employer; makes for some pretty eager voters for Zimbabwe style leaders like HR Clinton.
