Hillary Still Eyeing 2004 Race (For President)
NewsMax.Com e-mail Alert | August 10, 2002

Posted on 08/11/2002 8:35:04 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

We hear Washington is still abuzz about Hillary's presidential prospects.

NewsMax first reported earlier this year that Hillary was preparing for a national run for the White House.

That view is becoming inside-the-beltway thinking.

In late July, Weekly Standard editor William Kristol said Hillary was preparing for a presidential run, with a strategy that includes accepting a draft by her fellow Democrats, who will see her as more presidential than her competition.

"Look, she's not going to say she's running at this point," Kristol told Fox News Channel's "On the Record" host Greta Van Susteren.

But that doesn't mean much right now, the influential Republican warned.

"[Hillary's] going to be very visible. And I suspect what will happen is that around October-November of 2003 people might look at the field: There's Gore again, there's Gephardt, there's Kerry. People aren't too enthusiastic about any of them."

Kristol predicted that at that point, disheartened Democrats will turn to Hillary to rescue their party.

"There will be a little bit of a draft-Clinton bandwagon the way there was for [Colin] Powell in 1995. Or the way there was for Mario Cuomo in 1991. Now, Cuomo chose not to get in at the last minute, but I don't rule out Mrs. Clinton getting in."

And if she does, says Kristol, "she will be a formidable candidate."

The GOP journalist noted that Clinton "stole the show" at the Democratic Leadership Council convention in New York on July 29.

"She gave a presidential-level performance," Kristol observed – and no other candidate measured up.

Meanwhile, NewsMax hears that Gore and other presidential candidates have found difficulty raising funds. Apparently, Hillary and her minions at the DNC are telling big Democratic donors to remain on the sidelines and not commit. If they obey, this most assuredly will help Hillary.

Of course she is going to run for President in 2004. Right now Hillary has her money man, McAuliffe, in place as head of the DNC. That may not be true in 2008. I predict we will hear rumblings next year about there being no women candidates for President and "It's Time For A Woman!" Since no other female Demmycrats would dare run because of Hillary, that leaves only You-Know-Who as the "Women's Candidate."

Methinks a Draft Hillary movement will be initiated by some airhead celeb. Julia Roberts sounds like the perfect choice.

If the economy is slow, if the war goes badly or haltingly in a non decisive way, she has a good shot. And if she won, it would tear this country apart in ways we can't even appreciate. It would be the worst thing the republic has ever seen.

Sure, she will run. Because she can get money from people to do so. And that's what she and her horny husband and the rest of the Dems. are all about. Money. Money. Money.

Money which might not be available in 2008 if her moneyman, McAuliffe, is gone. Why do you think Hillary looked so glum during Bush's 9-11 speech in Congress last September? She knew then that Bush would be a much tougher opponent than she expected. Even back then (actually when she was still back in the White House), Hillary was planning to run for President in 2004.

And mark my words. The 2004 Hillary Draft movement will be based on the theme: "It's Time For A Woman!"

I really don't think Hillary will run in 2004. I mean, she has yet to serve a single term as Senator - she still has to work on her resume a bit. I'd don't see her as a serious contendor until at least 2008.

I agree, if this country ever has another civil war, it will be under Hillary. I think John Edwards will get the Democratic nomination though, Hillary will have to have him killed.

Its a fine line. Hillary could be the best thing to happen to the Republican party or the worst thing to happen to the United States. I dont think she could win Florida or Texas, im not even sure she could win California. I think she could pull off New York, Massachusetts and Maryland but nowhere west or south of there.

Nope! She IS running in 2004. She just can't wait for 2008. Her moneyman is now in place so it is now or never.

I will be horrified if Hillary even comes close to the Presidency.

She's got 40% of the country without even starting. Then there's the free ride by the news media, democrat voting fraud ... dangerous. I'm never amazed at the sheer stupidity of my fellow Americans.

I can't wait to see the Demonrat bloodbath in 2004!

It already started. Guess who was behind the release of that videotape smearing Al Sharpton? At first I was wondering about the timing of the tape release but then I realized it was shortly before that DLC meeting where Hillary was the featured speaker. She had to do something to discredit Sharpton enough to excuse the fact that he DID NOT get an invite to that meeting. Look for more of the same in the future.

Resume? LOL! THAT does not apply to her. She was crowned a long time ago by her fellow socialists in the big media. So, being a state gov. or senate member for a preiod of time before running for president simply does not apply to her.

Hillary's biological clock struck midnight a long time ago. Her clock for running for president is getting close to the witching hour too. It's now or never.

Hillary cannot hide until 2008. It's too much time. And, just like no man would sleep with her now, no voters will vote for her in 2008 after it becomes obvious over time what a pruned up mean spirited evil witch she is.

I can't help but feel Americans are coming to love your President more every day. Would not Hillary running for the Democratic Presidential nomination, be the best thing that could ever happen? Would it not destroy the Democratic Party?

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American people nor the ability of the Dems to rig an election. --My mantra
