I think they should set up a pay per view boxing match between Hatfill and Jewell. The proceeds could help recreate their financial lives. /half serious

The way the FBI treated his girlfriend is downright criminal - trashed her apartment, manhandled her and didn't show her the warrant for a while. I'm generally on the side of law and order no matter what but this is beyond outrageous.

Hatfill says when FBI told him they were going to search his house and it would be quiet and low key, and he said no problem and cooperated.

He said within minutes, men in moon suits showed up, news helicopters, hazmat teams, police, and the entire neighborhood was a zoo.

Obviously there is a leak from the FBI... That's crazy...

Yeah - the FBI leaking right to ABC releasing Hatfield's manuscript for a novel he's writing. The FBI got it off his hardrive and gave it to ABC. It's got to be illegal.

Well he did employ a "civil" lawyer... This ought to be the first clue...

I like this lawyer!!! He reminded the goobers about the senators who would refuse to be polygraphed over security leaks, that his client is merely doing the same thing....AFTER, mind you, his client had already passed one poly test.

Good, I hope he gets rich off his lawsuits. What a nightmare that could happen to anyone. Additionally, the press has conveniently forgotten that Atta rented an apartment from the first guy to die of anthrax and a host of other "coincidences". Let's go after a few terrorist types before we go after a white bread kind of guy. We've taken political correctness to a new low.

His attorney said there isn't going to be legal action except for a formal complaint which will be filed with regard to the sloppy and unprofessional FBI work. ie. the leaks about his novel etc.
