From the above links, it actually sounds to me like this woman is getting "two for the price of one". In addition to what you correctly stated, it sounds like she also has a personal grudge against this Hatfill guy for his earlier battles in Africa against Robert Mugabe's guerillas.
Hatfill's experiences in Africa certainly make it easier for leftists to hate him.
There is another angle, too. Simultaneous with the insurgency in then-Rhodesia, an outbreak of anthrax occurred among the cattle belonging to (mostly) black farmers. An estimated 10,000 black farmers were also infected with cutaneous anthrax, resulting in 182 recorded deaths.
A close associate of Rosenberg's, Meryl Nass, wrote a scholarly article on the epidemiology of the anthrax and, without any evidence whatsoever, attributed the outbreak to biological warfare -- by the white government, against the blacks.
Presumably, Rosenberg believes that Hatfill was somehow involved in this affair, as well.
