A police report obtained by Newsweek calls Detroit “a lucrative recruiting area and potential support base for international groups.”

Oct. 20 — With one of the largest populations of Arabs outside the Middle East, Detroit and its surrounding suburbs have become fertile ground for terrorism fund-raising and recruiting. “The Detroit/Dearborn area is a major financial support center for many Mideast terrorist groups,” according to a Michigan State Police report obtained by NEWSWEEK. “Southeast Michigan is known as a lucrative recruiting area and potential support base for international terrorist groups. It is also conceivable that ‘sleeper cells’ may be located in that area of the state.”

From what I've read and heard there are very large arab populations in the Michigan area. Now it's not Irish Catholics that ran those planes into the world trade cntr.
Also centers of "Muslim Studies", seem often times to be fronts for terror activism.

Rep. Foley (R-FL) is pushing photo & fingerprinting Arabs as they come in the country. I called his office this a.m. and said that while citizens appreciated his efforts, what REALLY needed to be done was to close ALL immigration until the government and INS fix the broken system.

On Sept. 17, the FBI raided a house in a rundown neighborhood in Southwest Detroit looking for a suspected associate of Osama bin Laden. Instead, they found three men and a trove of forged documents ... Two of the men, Karim Koubriti, 23, and Amed Hannan, 33, both Moroccan, have been in federal custody since the raid. Both formerly worked for at Detroit Metropolitan Airport as dishwashers for an airline catering service, before quitting in June to take truck-driving lessons.

I suspect that the FBI, CIA and Defense Department are gearing up to celebrate 9/11 by making some very public announcements regarding their successess of the past year. And if they do it right -- for example, by contrasting this Administration's level of support with the previous Administration's, and linking the present Administration's support of their activities with their successes -- who do you think is going to benefit come Election Day?

In 1980, when our people were held captive in Iran, there was a demonstration in front of Dearborn City Hall. Arabs, including many of my students, were marching with signs in support of Iran and Khomeini. I don't think much has changed over the years.

The Arabs vote, and they vote in a huge block. If you are a candidate and want they Muslim Council's endorsement, you have to go into an interview and pay a fee.

They are catered to because they are 600,000 strong. You can't say anything negative, such as " some of the terrorists trained and lived in Detroit and Dearborn, surely someone outside of the terrorist ring knew something was up".

The public schools in Dearborn have seperate prayer rooms and lunch rooms for the Muslim students. It's taxing the school system.

There are also big problems in Hamtramck between the Polish Catholics and the Albanian Muslims. The Albanians have formed very violent gangs.
