[history]
Saudi Arabia's royals are doing another round of damage control. They've sent Adel Al-Jubeir, the top foreign-policy adviser to Crown Prince Abdullah, on a whirlwind U.S. tour to explain that the Saudis are not, as a recent Rand Corp. briefing at the Pentagon had it, "the kernel of evil." As Mr. Al-Jubeir tells it, things are fine and benign in the desert kingdom, and--by the way--attacking Iraq would get everybody upset and the Saudis want no part of that.

More like the Johnny Appleseed of terrorism. They run around the world planting madrassas and Wahabbi mosques - and when the fruit drops, claim they're not to be blamed.

Saudi Arabia is not just as bad as the other Arab tyrannies. In most regards, it is the very worst of them, and the most dangerous to the United States and the free world. It was right at the heart of the terrorist movement responsible for 9/11, and it continues to lend Islamic terrorism its active support.
The only reason you don't hear more complaints against them is that they regularly use their oceans of money to buy off the politicians and the news media.

If people want on or off this list, please let me know.

Aint' that the truth. The Sauds have been implicated in funding, manpower, and inspiration for 911, but our corrupt media hasn't said a peep until they were forced to repeat a few words of the 600 families who are sueing the rotten Sauds. And the network news I watched did Not make it clear this had anything to do with the Sauds, so they're still spinning on behalf of our rotten Saud-loving State Department, which will screw the 911 families good if they can.
Hey, whatever happened to the goons from Foggy Bottom bullying that National Review reporter? What a bum outfit the State Department is. They still can't figure out the Sauds are not our friends.
Nuke Mecca! KAABA-OOM!

When a Saudi smiles at you, he is looking at your throat and dreaming of another Danny Pearl.

The House of Saud is a diseased whore that gave birth to and sustains radical/militant Islam...
The two faced lying bitch has earned our hatred, and deserves to feel the wrath of a brutal American vengence.

Such a nice article. Thanks for posting it.

I doubt most Arabs long for a liberal, democratic government (before you freak out on me, notice I did not capitalize those words).
When they protest, they protest for MORE repression.
The House of Saud is not theocratic enough for their tastes.
To: Guillermo
That's because(IMHO) all they see of how we live is through the media movies and tv. They see that and think well if that democracy I don't want anything to do with it.

Thank you Marine! Short, succinct and to the point. The Corps does have a way with words!

I know some Palestinian(they run the "little store" on the corner) and in the 4years I've known them I've yet to hear them say ANYTHING good about the Saudi's. Who have you heard the Palestinians say ANYTHING good about? Arafat? Israel? USA?
Come to think of it, in my experience with arabs/muslims, I rarely recall them having very much GOOD to say about ANYTHING.
Could it be that their self-inflicted misery is at once their punishment and reward, for a failed culture and a failed so-called religion?
Ever heard: "...the Palestinians have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity..?"
To: Valin
The Saudis are not the "kernel of evil". They are the very vortex of evil!
