We're pleased, we guess, that the New York Times thought our article on Iraq by Brent Scowcroft last Thursday was important enough to lead its front page two days in a row. We'd be more pleased, though, if instead of trumpeting our story to advance a tendentious theme, the Times kept its opinions on its editorial page.

From the Washington Times article. Apparently the NYT people didn't want to talk about it:

New York Times reporters Todd S. Purdum and Patrick E. Tyler, who wrote the story, and their Washington bureau chief, Jill Abramson, did not respond to inquiries by The Washington Times.

Do tell??????

Don't you love it when the NY Times gets slapped around, especially when it's done by a big name such as the Wall Street Journal?

Has there been a cajone transplant at the WSJ, or are they just fed up with the NYT like the rest of us?

The thing I'm really curious to know, is how well the NYTimespravda liked Scowcroft, when he was actually wielding power in a Republican Administration....

But, the old adage is ever true. The fastest way for a Republican to get praise from the Times is to Conflict with a Republican Administration.
