Powerful reporting! When will we see these facts on the American news media? Rhetorical question, of course. I am reading this column while I listen to people call into C-SPAN this morning to respond to:
Is criticism of Islam bigotry? Yes or no.
The question is prompted by the decision of the University of North Carolina to assign a text on the Koran as the required summer reading for incoming freshmen.

The question is prompted by the decision of the University of North Carolina to assign a text on the Koran as the required summer reading for incoming freshmen. The text assigned is about the part of the Koran which is nice and peaceful. The first part of it were Muhammad plays nice since he is inventing Islam and spreading Islam and is in a weak position. Once Muhammad conquered and became stronger the Koran turned nastier to the non-believers and "infidels".
"Approaching the Qur'an: The Early Revelations" is the assigned book.

And don't forget the NEA's lesson plan for explaining 9-11 which does backflips to excuse Islam and blame America.
