[history]
The Government Reform Committee, chaired by Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana, was back sniffing around Oklahoma City last week looking for reasons to believe that Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols had help.
They found plenty. Committee lawyer Marc Chretien interviewed at least six people who claimed to have seen McVeigh keeping company with foreign-looking men in the days, even minutes, before the bombing on April 19, 1995.

"
If it's true that Oklahoma bombing ties run all the way to Saddam Hussein, that would mean we go to war against Iraq." If it is true ..... why was it, and who, covered it up?

"If it's true that Oklahoma bombing ties run all the way to Saddam Hussein, that would mean we go to war against Iraq...." It appears the first "Clinton scandal" involves more that a tiny cover-up .... but then, I smelled a rat about this when it came out that evidence of a larger conspiracy was barred at the trial ... too bad that McVeigh was allowed to drop his appeal and was quickly executed, huh?

McVeigh's hasty execution had to be planned at the top level. I am no tin foiler, but appeals could have kept him in limbo for years (or at least until he coughed up more info). I bet Terry Nichols knows a lot. Who is in charge of interrogating him? Unfortunately, we know the answer, and we're still not hearing anything.

Had 911 involved a single airplane, whether it hit one of the WTC towers or the Pentagon or crashed in PA, we would have been told it was an accident--and the truth would have been covered up. Four planes almost simultaneously hitting or aiming toward destructive destinations (the 2nd plane at the WTC live on network TV) was impossible to cover up.
The government, both parties, many members of the intelligence committees in Congress, the intelligence agencies--none of them want the public to really know the state of world affairs.
Several months ago, I provided links to the summer of 2000 (a year before 911) Congressional Intelligence Committees (Senate and House) reports. Bin Laden, etc., were not--NOT--unknown elements and the threat was even known in the decade of the 1990s.
Government doesn't want the people to know the true state of affairs. After all, politics, money, and power are the important elements; the people aren't.

Months ago a report came out about "irregularites" with McVeigh's execution .... then a rumor that he was still alive ... but they are just "Tin Foil" for the conspiracy crowd, huh?
McVeigh was executed and there was no larger conspiracy to cover up Saddam's involvement with OKC and Clinton wasn't working to protect Saddam [hate to think Clinton was afraid of going to war against Iraq but the Democrats sure are making the same noises now] .... and Burton must be wasting his time.
I think I'm going to be sick.

Big deal! It's all there in the FBI files that weren't released. The FBI knew from its several inside sources who McVeigh was and exactly what he was going to do. But, they screwed up! The FBI guys from Washington who were flying down for the 'photo op in OKC got lost and were late. The very modest charge in the truck detonated the ATF store of explosives and the FBI covered it up. MCVeigh was hustled off to death believing he was protecting his other cell members, most of whom were FBI informants. Why doesn't Burton just check out the files cases in the garage of the Dallas Agent in Charge who was forced to retire last year?

this conspiracy theorySo if President Bush makes a speech soon,
laying out Iraqs involvement in OKC,
as being an act of war against the U.S.,
and a reason for the massive attack against Iraq,
he will be just another tin foil hat conspiracy loony?

If it is true ..... why was it, and who, covered it up? That's an easy one to answer.
Clinton saw it as an opportunity to demonize his political opponents, blaming it on the extremists of the "VRWC".
Politically, Clinton was on the ropes and nearly irrelevant (since Congress was now in the hands of his opposition). He has basically admitted that the Oklahoma City bombing saved his Presidency.

Clinton saw it as an opportunity to demonize his political opponents, blaming it on the extremists of the "VRWC" Yup. Remember how Clinton acted more or less normal the first day or two? Many of us were surprised. Then there was a huge shift in his attitude and that of his propaganda team. Hate radio was to blame. Right wing extremists did it. They turned on a dime. It was all planned and the party line had nothing to do with the reality of the situation.

I know. A lot of people have that problem. That's why I was apologetic in pointing out there was another thread. But this is an issue I've been following for a while and know that others have, too. Figured your posters would like to see the other thread, too.
Personally, I don't mind duplicate threads. People often don't see them the first time around.

So if President Bush makes a speech soon, laying out Iraqs involvement in OKC, as being an act of war against the U.S., and a reason for the massive attack against Iraq, he will be just another tin foil hat conspiracy loony? If Bush makes that speech, I will personally apologize to you.
By the way, don't get your hopes up...

Thank God for Rep Burton and God Bless this effort to bring forth the full fact sheet of the Okla bombing. Considering how the klinton administration covered up so much regarding what witnesses had to say about foreigners possibly involved in this bombing-I remain grateful to our Father in heaven that this cowardly, American blaming creep was not our President when Sept 11th went down.

If you think his auto-bio proves a nything either way you are an ignorant person with your head up your a$$. What a profoundly wise statement. [/sarcasm]
