It’s fast, it’s easy, and most of all, it’s extremely effective in KILLING LEFTIST POLICIES!

After sitting in the dustbin since Jimmy Carter was president, Democrats have resurrected The United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). It was recently passed in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and now awaits a vote by the full Senate.
It must be stopped.

CEDAW is a thinly veiled attempt by the United Nations to influence the policies of independent nations—including the U.S. Article 17 of CEDAW creates a panel of 23 "experts" (read: global governance bureaucrats) to monitor compliance of the treaty. If ratified by the U.S. Senate, CEDAW’s panel of U.N. THUGS would have the ability to scrutinize U.S. laws, and lobby for every feminist pipedream you can imagine. CEDAW has already begun lobbying for legislation in countries that were foolish enough to ratify the treaty. Just what are CEDAW’s concerns? Take a look:

-

abolishing Mother’s Day

- creating quotas and affirmative action

- establishing government-paid, global village daycare

- population control and abortion

The United Nations has no business concerning itself with the laws of sovereign nations! It is unfathomable that the Senate Foreign Relations Committee would surrender U.S. sovereignty AT ALL, much less to satisfy a radical feminist social movement within the U.N. CEDAW must be stopped!

**Action to Take**

1. Call President Bush and urge him to unsign the CEDAW treaty. White House: (202) 456-1111.

2. Because the Senate is currently in recess, you can make a HUGE IMPACT! Contact BOTH of your Senators in their district offices and DEMAND that they vote against CEDAW. Attend town hall meetings and write letters-to-the-editor of local newspapers urging the Senate to oppose CEDAW.

Feminists want to liberate women from fathers and husbands who love them so they can instead be under a globalistic, coercive, faceless, godless nanny state. You can walk away from a family and a church. Try walking away from the state, girls.

So sad. The unsuspecting woman buys into the NOW and CEDAW hoax. Yet the upper managements know full well that they are leading woman that follow their charge to be further diminished. Further usurping power from the individual rights of women and men.

It takes 2/3 of the Senate to approve the treaty doesn't it?

Yes, we need 1/3rd + one to stop this UN American treaty from attacking our values and private lives.

ping! It's great to see the press finally getting on board. NOW does not, and never has represented the majority of women in America....they represent the women of the press, maybe. I say we go the "UN-NOW radicals attack God, family and country"...angle, and let the Senators wonder which side to choose come election day.

Your are a brilliant and clever cowgirl. This is short and snappy and in-your-face with aggression and effectiveness! Perfect for emailing and flyers.

Some thoughts came to mind.

"UN-NOW radicals attack God, family
and sovereignty...

"UN-NOW radicals attack God, family
and manipulate the Senate...

"UN-NOW radicals attack God, family
and The Bill of Rights...

"UN-NOW radicals attack God, family
and the US Constitution...

"UN-NOW radicals attack God, family
and that's not a good thing...
(bottom of the barrel, lol)

Thank you, madfly. I e-mailed all of 'em, more than once...subject line: "CEDAW, NO! God, Family and Country, YES!" ...and then learned from the Friva conference participants that our esteemed Senators mostly dump their e-mail, but DO keep track of phone calls at both state and fed. offices.

For our feminazi victim - male Senators..it may help to also remind them that NOW does NOT represent the patriotic American women we know. (^:

I truly wish I was.

"Senator, you plan to vote for CEDAW?
You're kidding, right?"

If you like Kim Gandy telling federal and state governments what to do, you'll love CEDAW. Tell the Senate to vote it down!!!

Cool. Maybe Concerned Women for America (CWA) has some good numbers for Washington on their site.

So did you take out the "UN-NOW attacks".... part?

The "UN-NOW" angle I just thought up. It is good. I like this one, too....think I'll use them both:

"Senator, you plan to vote for CEDAW?
You're kidding, right?"
(^:

It really is too easy. You have to be both un-American and power hungry (on a globalist scale) to vote for this garbage...and confident that the (globalist) press will never tell the American voters the truth.
