ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United States is said to have blocked the entry of 60 Saudi nationals to study the oil industry.

Western diplomatic sources said U.S. authorities refused entry to 60 Saudi students who were accepted in universities in the United States under a program by Saudi Aramco. The state-owned Aramco was to have ensured the training of the Saudis in oil administration.

Under the program, the Saudis were to have returned to the kingdom to begin work in the kingdom's oil sector. The Kuwaiti Al Rai Al Aam daily reported on Monday that Aramco, responsible for the marketing of Saudi oil, is expected to seek alternatives to U.S. universities. They could include the American University in Cairo or the American University in Beirut.

The newspaper said the U.S. rejection of the Saudi students would be raised by Saudi ambassador Prince Bandar Bin Sultan in Washington. Bandar is scheduled to meet President George Bush on Tuesday in an attempt to improve bilateral relations.

Now send about a million others home, if it looks Arab, if it sounds Arab, deport it.

If Allah cares, he will give them something better over there.

Thankfully Microsoft does not yet have an "Oil Refinery Simulator" or we'd be in big trouble.

Bush is playing hardball. No use of military facilities for actions against Saddam, no Saudis to use American universities. Quid pro quo? Yep; so what!
