Statements made by State Representative Billy McKinney last week continued to reverbrate Monday, with two groups trading volleys over who owed whom an apology.
The controversial comments followed 11Alive asking McKinney about his daughter, incumbent Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) using an old endorsement from former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young.
"That ain't nothing. That's nothing," he said. "Jews have bought everybody. Jews... J-E-W-S."
McKinney went on to lose the Democratic primary for the states 4th District to former state court judge Denise Majette. Some analysts said the statements, with their polemical tone, coupled with past controversy over September 11, may have caused McKinney to lose her congressional seat.
Upset over controversies involving the McKinney camp, the Jewish community reportedly donated heavily to Majettes campaign. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) also demanded an apology.
At a Concerned Black Clergy (CBC) meeting Monday morning, members recognized the elderMcKinney who was in attendance but CBC President Rev. Timothy McDonald said it was not their place to offer an apology on his behalf.
He, instead -- referring to the American-Israel Public Affairs Committees (APAC) reported involvement in Majettes campaign -- said it was the Jewish community that owed an apology.
I think the Jewish community should be giving an apology to the African-American community for APAC and what it has done in the 4th District here and the state of Georgia. Certainly, we do not condone any kind of racism or profiling or racial statement but the Jewish community historically has been an ally of the African-American community, but most recently those bonds have bene desperately strained, he said.
Deborah Lauter of the Anti-Defamation League said APAC does not endorse candidates, and that they do not fund candidates as a group. She said shes disappointed by Rev. McDonalds comments.
We have nothing to apologize for. The Jewish community, just as members of any group, should feel proud about getting involved, she said.
Despite the controversies, both sides agreed that through dialogue that these conflicts could be worked in the future.
McKinney faces a run-off against challenger John Noel for the Democratic nomination in the State House District 44 race. The election is scheduled for September 10.

The race baiting continues, ignoring why voters voted agasint Jihad Cindy, and hopefully will so against her monstrous father. All paranoid, lefty-sourced deflections.

I don't understand what McDonald thinks Jews should apologize for.

I still can't understand why any thinking Jewish person would vote for the Nation Socialist Democratic Worker's Party (NSDWP), also known as the Democrats.

Jihad Cindy and her Daddy should be on Springer.

I love to see this. Infighting among opponents is great.
That being said, the arguments of these blacks are absolutely absurd. DENISE MAJETTE IS A BLACK WOMAN TOO!
And, why is it racist to support a candidate against an imcumbemt black? Do "black seats" exist in Congress and whites are not allowed to "meddle" in those races? Is that what they're trying to say?

Despite the controversies, both sides agreed that through dialogue that these conflicts could be worked in the future. From my "Webster Handy College Dictionary":
Dialogue. 1. A conversation between two or more persons. 2. Speeches spoken in a play.
The left's idea of dialogue is the latter definition, with themselves doing most of the speecifying.

Here ya go:
John Noel's campaign website
Thanks to "King Roy" Barnes's redistricting, I now live in the 44th. Ugh. John is a trifle on the liberal side, as I've mentioned on other threads. But I think he can be reasoned with (I've already taken him to task on the "smart growth" issue, and I don't believe he realizes the socialist implications of that phrase). Plus, he is a doggone sight better than Billy, who went Preston Brooks one better by threatening another representative in the well of the House with a knife. . . .

I heard McKinney's comments on Laura Ingraham's radio show the other night. The FOX reporter was trying to clarify something, and he told her that the Zionists had influenced Cynthia McKinney's loss, when the reporter pressed, he said "Do I have to spell it out for you?" and then did.

I re-read your post more carefully . . . I see that you were asking where to send anti-CINDY money. Cindy has already been beat like the bad Arab rug she is, but we still need to defeat her father (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree) who was forced into a runoff against a challenger. September 10th is zero hour . . .

Do "black seats" exist in Congress and whites are not allowed to "meddle" in those races? Is that what they're trying to say? I think they're saying more than that. Arabs apparently, even if they're white, are allowed to meddle, at least as long as they meddle on the right side. I'm not sure how they decide which is the right side, if two candidates are both black.

A better title is:
McKinney's Words Continue to Hurt

But let a Republican say those words and it would be front page news.

Maybe it would.
Or, maybe more telling - these words were spoken by a african-american, rather than a white guy. If a white guy went around blaming his daughter's loss on Jews, he'd be bitchslapped, and rightfully so. But if a member of a minority slams another minority, well, the outrage is not there.
This goes back to the absurd notion that people who are themselves the targets of racial prejudice cannot themselves be prejudiced. I know from personal experience that that's just not true.
(I smell a column coming on)
