To All:

Ed Worley, our NRA-ILA State Liaison (lobbyist) is still in the Capitol and fighting to stop SB682. He expresses his sincere thanks to everyone that has joined in this effort to stop the repeal of some of the product liability statutes relating to firearms, in the California Civil Code.

Although SB682 has not yet come up for "reconsideration," he is urging continued calls, faxes and emails into the legislators' offices. See: http://www.nramemberscouncils.com/calerts/calert082302.shtml .

The effects of our combined efforts are becoming obvious and the legislators have taken notice.

Please feel free to cross-post this message since we must get the word out to everyone.

Sorry guys, but I will follow Atlas Shrugged now.

Let California do what it wants, and perform the "Crash and Burn" thing. Let California be a valuable lesson to the other 49 States.

You know very well that nobody else will get it. Once California is turned into a crime infested cesspool the other states will follow.

"Once California is turned into a crime infested cesspool the other states will follow."

B.S. The antigun lobby has been saying Kalifornia was some kind of portend of the future gun laws of the whole U.S. for only 25 years now - and it hasn't come close to happening! Instead, the reverse has proven true - it has provoked a massive backlash in the 26 states of Red Nation, plus much of Blue Nation as well, resulting in shall-issue CCW in most states being passed since the antigun lobby made that gleeful prediction and also the election of Jorge Bush being mainly over the Left trying to turn the election into a referendum on gun control.

Scandals of antigun politicians - from Kalifornia to Manhattan!

Someone else here is one the right track and as soon as I read it I thought to myself, yep thats it.  They stated that kali would not seperate from the u.S., they would be KICKED out.

Sounds good to me.

If the citizens in this country are willing to allow even one state to fall into the hands of the leftist gun control crowd then they will allow their own states to fall into leftists hands as well. So what if states have created CCW laws. Concealed carry is allowed in California as well. There have been a multitude of state and federal laws restricitng the 2nd amendment enacted ever since the 1934 NFA. How many of those laws have been repealed? Zero. As long the laws gun laws are not repealed the leftist can just bide their time until they have enough power to enact more restricitive laws. How many states have gone on the offensive and started repealing oppressive gun control laws? None.

"Once California is turned into a crime infested cesspool the other states will follow."

Californicate is already a crime infested cesspool and a large percentage of the criminals work in the state capitol building and governors office. They have been keeping the FBI busy for years.

Other lesser known criminals such as the Crips, Bloods, Mexican Mafia, and LAPD just can't hold a light.

Yeah, I know we can all exaggerate and go into hyperbole about how bad California is. There is definitely a lot of crime. I see it everyday. As law enforcement officer I can tell you that it can get a lot worse and running away from it is not going to stop it.
