Fire reported near North Michigan Avenue

Tribune staff reports
Published August 27, 2002, 12:36 PM CDT

Police briefly closed off sections of North Michigan Avenue shortly after noon as the Chicago Fire Department responded to a fire in the vicinity of the 500 block of North Michigan Avenue.

Smoke could be seen drifting from a building east of the busy street.

Details to come.

Has the coverup of turning this obvious act of terrorism happened yet. I am sure they will blame it on something stupid like an "electrical fire" or some other bogus response. I want to know when Bush knew! There needs to be a hearing in the Senate to look into possible involvement by the Bush administration.

The young things who frequent picture-palaces
Have no time for psycho-analysis,
And though Dr. Freud
Is distinctly annoyed,
They cling to their long-standing fallacies.

It can't be that series.

Besides, the Cubs are losing on the road this week.

Q.How are the Chicago Cubs like Billy Graham?

A.They can both make 30,000 people stand up and shout Jesus Christ at the same time.

That's an old one!
