My memory is that when the FBI/DOJ wanted to speak with ~5,000 Arab men several months ago, there was little if any local Detroit support for the effort. I remember a local Detroit police spokesman saying his department had built-up a "relationship" with the local Arab population and he thought the FBI interview request would hurt that "relationship".
It was pathetic!

Thankfully there has been some progress notwithstanding the lack of enthusiasm, at least publicly, by the authorities.
