I agree that the Klaymen element of this story is a sticky wicket, so to say, and believe me, I am not a Klaymen supporter.

But it's hard for people like me to ignore the elephant turds lying on the living room floor, that the Clinton mob has become.

It's not just about these pardons. There is a pattern here that a first year criminal science major could recognize instantly, and we are all supposed to look the other way and somehow still believe we have a Constitutional Republic?

There has been a pattern in Clinton's criminal behavior ever since he came into public office. In fact, even before that when he was in school and dodged the draft. There is absolutely no doubt that he is a sniveling coward, cheat, rapist, traitor, and sorry excuse for a man not to mention human being.

However, thus far, he has managed to escape prosecution.

I never expected a President Bush to go after him. In fact, that's one of the reasons I did not favor Bush in the primaries. However, Bush put together an unstoppable organization and they steamrolled over any and all competition. Once he won the nod, well, it became him or President Gore. The rest is history.

As much as I would still love to see Clinton in stripes, I would not encourage throwing out the Constitution to make it happen. Nor would I encourage Klayman or others to smear and damage Bush in the process. Hillary is in office. Investigate her. If she was ever prosecuted, she'd probably rat out on Bill just to get even with him.

Yeah, and from what I understand, God thinks long term.

Good post...

As far as I'm concerned, until Bubba answers for his crimes, this country will never be the same. Why should Dubya enact his own statute of limitations -- especially regarding the XPOTUS? The "letting bygones be bygones" attitude of indifference by the Bush administration is suspiciously disturbing.

What the President is attempting to do is protect the "process" of selecting pardons by the President. He's not trying to protect Clinton, just the process all presidents are allowed to use to make the decision about the pardons.

Don't confuse the fact that Clinton abused that privilege. He abused everything he did. The President is not defending that, he's defending the process, not the outcome.

Fine. If and when a crime has been charged against someone, let the courts take it up.

The courts can't take it up until the executive branch does its job by investigating and indicting. Do they get to pick and choose which laws will be enforced?

I'm all in favor of that. But I sincerely doubt that will ever happen.

It will never happen. Bush intends to see to that.
