Investigators are tightening the screws on ex-WorldCom chief Bernie Ebbers, after three executives allegedly at the center of a $3.8 billion accounting scam decided to sing to the feds to escape the prospect of long prison sentences.

Less than a month after being paraded in handcuffs on securities-fraud charges, the telecom giant's ex-senior veep David Myers, 44, plans to plead guilty and is cooperating with the high-level probe conducted by the FBI and Manhattan U.S. Attorney's Office, sources confirmed.
